Protests Erupt in Osun as Youths Demand Reversal of Fuel Subsidy Removal

Protesters took to the streets of Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, on Tuesday to voice their frustrations over the nation’s economic challenges. The demonstrators urged President Bola Tinubu to reinstate fuel subsidies to help alleviate the rising cost of living, particularly the soaring prices of food.

The crowd assembled at Nelson Mandela Freedom Park at Old Garage before marching through key thoroughfares, including Oke-Fia, Dada Estate, and Dele Yes Sir. Their route continued along Oba Adesoji Aderemi Way, culminating at the Olaiya flyover junction in the Ogo-Oluwa area.

Throughout the demonstration, participants sang solidarity songs to amplify their demands, while security forces maintained a presence to ensure public safety.
