Ex- Osun IPAC chair chides Adeleke for neglecting N2.7b flyover built by Oyetola

The former chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Adewale Adebayo has berated the government of Governor Ademola Adeleke for deliberately neglecting the upkeep of N2.7billion flyover built by the government of Adegboyega Oyetola.

It will be recalled that Oyetola during his administration opened the Ola-Iya flyover, disclosing that N2.7 bn net of taxes was expended on it.

Meanwhile, Adebayo who is also the Osun State Chairman of Allied People Movement (APM) while addressing newsmen in Osogbo lamented that the present government deliberately neglect the upkeep of the flyover bridge situated in the center of the state capital.

He said: “Since the administration of Adeleke came on board, they drafted security men around the bridge, exposing it for vandals and also leave the green areas to outgrow. 

“The various aesthetic features like fountains, lightings, street lights, metal railing at green area among others are not maintained while vandals took the opportunity to plunder the facilities.”

He urged Adeleke’s government embrace all infrastructures by the past administrations not take of them without prejudice against his political enemy.

Reacting to the development, the Osun State Commissioner for Information, Kolapo Alimi said: “The flyover was never neglected, and Osun State Government is doing all within its power to build more infrastructure for the use of the promises
