Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke on Wednesday presented a 2025 appropriation bill of N390.03 billion to the State House of Assembly.
The proposed budget includes N144.23 billion for capital expenditure and N245.80 billion for recurrent expenditure.
Governor Adeleke, speaking before the Speaker and lawmakers, said the state’s revenue would come from both federal allocations and internally generated funds. According to a statement from his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the state’s recurrent revenue is projected at N196.78 billion, which includes the government’s share of the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC). Additionally, N109.87 billion is expected from independent revenue sources.
The governor also expects N53.38 billion in receipts from development partners.
“We will continue to prioritize capital projects for the benefit of our people and the socio-economic development of our state,” Adeleke said in the statement.
