Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has invited Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and former President Olusegun Obasanjo to help inaugurate several completed projects in the state.
Teslim Igbalaye, Secretary to the State Government, made the announcement while unveiling a two-week schedule of events to mark the second anniversary of Adeleke’s administration.
Igbalaye said the celebration will feature prominent figures, including a series of religious services, a health walk, a novelty match, state awards, and the commissioning or inspection of various projects.
Among the key events, Obasanjo is set to commission the Old Garage-Okefia dual carriageway, while Makinde will inaugurate the Osogbo Ring Road. Additionally, Minister of Works David Umahi will break ground on new projects and join the Minister of Aviation in inspecting ongoing flyovers and the proposed Osun State Airport.
The programme will also include the presentation of bond certificates to retirees, a novelty match between the executive and legislative arms of the Osun government, the commissioning of the Egbedi Road and a health center, and the unveiling of the Cooperative College in Ode Omu. Governor Adeleke will also flag off the Imole Agro Entrepreneur Project across the state and oversee the inspection of Okefia Road by both ministers.
