As Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, the former governor of Osun State and current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, approaches his 70th birthday on November 29, a planning committee has organized a series of events, including a medical outreach for vulnerable and less privileged individuals.
Hon. Timothy Owoeye, chairman of the planning committee and former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, announced details of the initiative at a press conference in Osogbo. He emphasized that the celebration will take a low-key approach, reflecting Oyetola’s belief in moderation.
“We decided to embrace a low-key approach in our unique style of celebrating our role model, consistent with his commitment to moderation in all endeavors,” Owoeye said.
The four-day medical outreach will kick off on Tuesday, September 24, at 9:00 a.m. at the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Office in Osogbo. The program will then move to Ilesa on Wednesday, September 25, also starting at 9:00 a.m.
Residents of Iwo can participate on Thursday, September 26, at 9:00 a.m. at Oluwo’s Palace. The outreach will conclude in Iragbiji on Friday, September 27, at the Aragbiji’s Palace Square, culminating in surgical procedures on Saturday, September 28, at the Geriatric Centre in Ilesa.
