On the occasion of Maulud Nabiyy, which marks the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke reaffirmed his commitment to alleviating the hardships faced by residents of the state.
In a statement released Monday through his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke extended congratulations to Muslims around the world and encouraged them to follow the example of peace and hope set by the Prophet.
“Our government remains committed to initiatives and interventions that will lessen the pains of the moment and ensure a better tomorrow,” Adeleke said in the statement.
He continued, “On this blessed day, I extend my joyous wishes to Muslim faithful, particularly in Osun State, as we commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet of Allah, Prophet Muhammad. Prophet Muhammad was a blessing to mankind, not only illuminating our journey on Earth but also serving as an assurance of a better place in the afterlife.”
Adeleke urged people to embrace the Prophet’s timeless wisdom in building a just and harmonious society.
“As we celebrate the significance of this day, let us not lose sight of the message of peace and unity that defines Prophet Muhammad’s life. We should strive to embody the principles of love and kindness that he represented,” the governor said.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to fostering religious harmony and stability, which he described as essential for a prosperous society.
